About Skin Science Society
Skin Science Society exists because most skincare advice is marketing wearing a lab coat. We read the dermatology research — the actual studies, their sizes, and their limitations — and translate it into plain-language guidance about what works, what might work, and what is just expensive water.
Our rules
- Evidence first. If we recommend an ingredient, it's because peer-reviewed research supports the form, the concentration, and the formulation — not because a brand sent a press release.
- Realistic timelines. Skin biology runs on weeks and months. We tell you the timeline the studies showed, not the one that sells product.
- Transparent funding. Some product links are affiliate links, disclosed on every page where they appear. Commissions never decide what the research says — see our full disclosure.
What this site is not
We are not dermatologists, and nothing here is medical advice. For skin disease, prescription treatment, or anything that worries you, see a board-certified dermatologist — that's evidence-based advice too.
